Request Assistance

The Marine Corps League Foundation provides temporary financial assistance to eligible Marines, Marine veterans, and their families who are experiencing an immediate and serious financial hardship.

 

Our goal is to help address an urgent situation and provide short-term relief. The Foundation is not able to provide ongoing or recurring financial support.

Before You Apply

Requests are reviewed individually based on the circumstances, urgency of the need, available resources, and the information provided.

 

Applicants should be prepared to explain:

• What caused the immediate financial hardship

• What specific payment or expense is being requested

• The amount needed

• The date by which payment is required

• What other resources or assistance may be available

• What will change to help prevent the same financial crisis from recurring

 

When assistance is approved, the Foundation generally makes payment directly to the landlord, utility company, medical provider, creditor, or other service provider. Funds are not normally paid directly to the applicant.

 

Application Documents

 

To properly evaluate a request, the Foundation requires supporting information and completed application documents.

The application package should include the required financial information, supporting documentation, and authorization needed for the Foundation to review the request.

 

Please complete the documents as fully as possible. Missing information may delay consideration of your request.

The Marine Corps League Foundation receives requests from across the country and must evaluate each request carefully.

 

Submission of an application does not guarantee approval. Assistance is based on demonstrated need, the urgency of the situation, available Foundation resources, and whether the request falls within the Foundation's mission.

 

Our purpose is to provide meaningful temporary assistance during a period of serious hardship and help stabilize the immediate situation whenever possible.
